• Battery Zone Bill Buster Promotion 2026 TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Promoter

  The Promoter is Century Yuasa Batteries (NZ) Ltd (NZBN 82-959-572) of 259 Church Street, Onehunga, Auckland 1061. Battery Zone participating stores are participating retailers only and are not promoters of the Promotion.”

  2. Promotion Period

  The Promotion commences 1 September 2026 at 7:00am NZST and concludes 30 September 2026 at 23:59 NZST (“Promotional Period”). (Refine promotion period)

  3. Eligibility

  Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over who, during the Promotional Period:

  • Purchase an eligible Yuasa or Century branded battery from a participating Battery Zone store.  The eligible battery must be purchased as a new product during the Promotional Period from a participating Battery Zone store. Second-hand, refurbished, warranty replacement or promotional giveaway products are excluded; and

  • Submit an entry via the official QR code in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.

  Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Battery Zone stores, and associated agencies are ineligible.

  The entrant must be the purchaser of the eligible product. Entries submitted by persons other than the purchaser, including employees or representatives of a business purchasing the battery, will be invalid unless approved by the Promoter.

  4. Eligible Products

  A qualifying purchase is any Yuasa or Century branded battery purchased from a participating Battery Zone NZ store excluding:

  • PS Series

  • NP Series

  Only purchases of eligible products qualify for entry.

  5. Regions

  For prize allocation, New Zealand is divided into three (3) Regions:

  • Northern Region — Upper North Island (from Tauranga northwards)

  • Central Region — Lower North Island

  • Southern Region — Entire South Island

  Each entry is allocated to the Region of the Battery Zone store where the eligible purchase was made. The Region allocated to an entry is determined solely by the location of the participating Battery Zone store identified on the proof of purchase.

  6. How to Enter

  To enter, Eligible Entrants must:

  1. Purchase any eligible Yuasa or Century battery during the Promotional Period (Proof of purchase must clearly identify the eligible battery and date of purchase);

  2. Scan the QR code

  3. Complete the online entry form with their details and proof of purchase;

  4. Submit the form to receive one (1) entry per eligible purchase.

  Multiple eligible purchases = multiple entries.

  The Promoter is not responsible for technical failures, network interruptions, incomplete submissions or entries not received for any reason outside the Promoter’s reasonable control

  7. Verification

  The Promoter will require:

  • Valid proof of purchase for the eligible Yuasa or Century branded battery; and

  • Valid identification confirming New Zealand residency.

  Entries that are incomplete, invalid, fraudulent, or non‑compliant with these Conditions of Entry will be disqualified.

  8. Prizes

  There are three (3) prizes, with one (1) Winner per Region.

  Each Winner will receive payment of one (1) household bill up to the value of NZD $1,000 (including GST), subject to:

  • The Winner providing a copy of the single household bill they wish to have paid. For the voidance of doubt ‘household bill’ means a current invoice issued by a recognised service provider relating to household utilities or services. The Promoter may determine whether a bill qualifies. If the bill amount is less than NZD $1,000, the Promoter will only pay the amount owing;

  • The bill not being due within 5 working days of being supplied;

  • The bill being paid directly to the provider (no cash alternative, no reimbursement, no split across multiple bills).

  Total prize pool: NZD $3,000.

  9. Draw Details

  Three separate random draws (one per Region) will take place on:

  Friday 9 October 2026 at 11:00am NZST at Century Yuasa Batteries (NZ) Ltd, 259 Church Street, Onehunga, Auckland in the presence of an independent witness.

  Winners will be contacted via the details provide within 3 business days. The Winner must respond within 5 business days and provide all requested information. Failure to do so may result in the prize being forfeited and a redraw conducted.

  If a Winner cannot be contacted within 5 business days, a redraw will occur for that Region on:

  Friday 16 October 2026 at 11:00am NZST at the same location. (Refine draw process)

  10. Entry Deadline

  Entries must be received by 23:59 NZST on Friday 2^nd October 2026 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, or misdirected entries. (Refine entry deadline)

  11. Prize Conditions

  • Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.

  • The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative prize of equal or greater value where reasonably necessary.

  • Once prizes leave the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter is not responsible for damage, delay, or loss in transit. (Refine prize conditions)

  12. Publicity

  By accepting a prize, Winners agree to participate in reasonable promotional activities, including interviews, photography, and social media content, without additional compensation. The Promoter will only use a Winner’s name, image and comments for promotional purposes relating to this Promotion and related Battery Zone/Century Yuasa marketing.

  13. Promoter Discretion

  The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries and disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or does not comply with these Conditions.

  14. Force Majeure

  If an outside event prevents the Promotion from proceeding (e.g., natural disaster, civil unrest, terrorism, power failure), the Promoter may cancel or recommence the Promotion subject to NZ regulatory requirements. (Refine force majeure)

  15. Liability

  To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter excludes all liability arising from participation in the Promotion, acceptance or use of any prize, including any loss, damage, injury or delay. Nothing in these Conditions excludes any rights or remedies available under applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

  16. Privacy

  All personal details of entrants will be stored in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Upon the entrant’s request, information provided will be removed from Century Yuasa’s active marketing database. To request details to be removed or amended please email info@cyb.co.nz. Information will be removed as soon as reasonably possible in accordance with Century Yuasa’s Privacy Policy and applicable laws. To view the Privacy Policy, please visit http://www.cyb.co.nz/privacy-policy. All entries remain the property of Century Yuasa. By entering, entrants consent to their personal information being used for administering the Promotion and contacting entrants in relation to the Promotion. Entrants may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time.

  17. Governing Law

  These Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
